The trailer of Promita Bhattacharya’s film Archie’r Gallery, starring Bonny and Ayoshi Talukdar, dropped recently, and it is getting a lot of positive feedback. “It’s a small film, made with great love and care. So it was quite heartfelt when the trailer received much appreciation from within the industry... I hope the audience likes the film and understands the passion it is made with. I wanted to give an interesting sneak peek into Archie’s world through this trailer. He is a capsule of ’90s nostalgia. That’s what Archie and his father Amulya’s little world is all about,” says Promita.

Archie belongs to the present time, but Archie’s heart belongs to an era before cellphones. The name of their house is Yaadon Ki Baaraat. “Archie swears by SRK and has grown up listening to his father narrating his love story with Archie’s mother, which is marked at every stage by a cult film of that time. And then, Niharika comes into Archie’s life. Archie’s father plays love guru, whether Archie likes it or not. Even Archie’s story is narrated by his father. This is our very known world, where all fathers want to be their son’s best friend... try to hand-craft their lives. They forget that each has to make their own share of mistakes. I want to ask the audience: has the sweet greetings card romance lost its charm in the times of dating sites?” asks Promita, adding that she was lucky to have Shyam Sundar Dey as producer. “He gives the director total creative freedom and is extremely supportive. So we chose to celebrate moments, slices of life, small, yet deep. We chose to proudly celebrate the cliches we so love to revisit! In this rat race, we often miss making real memories. Hardly anything really touches our hearts any more. Nothing stays. Our film talks about the little heartfelt moments,” says Promita
