The long-delayed third season of Euphoria will begin shooting in January 2025, announced the makers on Friday, sharing a poster of Zendaya as Rue Bennett from the HBO series.
“Euphoria Season 3 will go into production in January 2025. @hbo @streamonmax,” the makers wrote on the official handle of the Emmy-winning show.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans,” HBO executive programming head Francesca Orsi told US-based entertainment magazine The Hollywood Reporter.
Helmed by Sam Levinson, Euphoria follows the lives of a group of young adults navigating the complexities of love, heartbreak and addiction. The series premiered its first season in December 2019, with the second season following in 2022. While the third season was initially scheduled for release in 2023, it has been postponed due to the writer’s strike and the death of Angus Cloud, one of the show's main actors.
Apart from Zendaya. Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeny will reportedly reprise their roles for the upcoming season. Euphoria Season 3 will also introduce a new set of actors including Eric Dane, Maude Apatow, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, Hunter Schafer, Nika King and Dominic Fike.
