The new streaming platform will initially be rolled out in the US on May 23, followed by a launch in Latin America. Viewers in Europe, Asia and other markets will have to wait till 2024 to use the service.

The new platform will also be adding a ton of new and exciting content, including a new series based on the Harry Potter books, a prequel to Game of Thrones and a spin-off series to The Big Bang Theory. A drama series based on The Conjuring franchise is also in the works.

The Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will be executive-produced by George R. R. Martin, Ira Parker, Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis. The show, set a century before the events of Game of Thrones, will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and his squire Egg.

The streamer also released a teaser for their upcoming series The Regime starring Kate Winslet. Directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs, it is written by Will Tracy. The satire drama revolves around a dictator in “a modern European regime” who fears she is losing control. The teaser shows Winslet’s Chancellor in a meeting with a US official played by Martha Plimpton.

Besides, a fresh installment in the Fixer Upper franchise, titled Fixer Upper: The Hotel, will also premiere on Max this November. The streaming service also announced that a new chapter in the acclaimed HBO Original Series True Detective, starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, will soon be streaming. Welcome to Derry, a prequel to the IT films — starring Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, James Remar, and Chris Chalk — is also coming in 2024 to Max.

Max will be home to several other beloved shows like Peter and the Wolf, Rick and Morty: The Anime, Tiny Toons Looniversity, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai and Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.
