A new trailer for Volume 2 of Netflix’s docu-series Harry & Meghan promises to offer more insights into the much-talked-about exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the British monarchy and the controversies surrounding it.
The six-part docuseries, helmed by two-time Academy Award nominee and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus, also promises candid remarks from Prince Harry and Meghan about how the entire process of their exit from the frontline British royalty was emotionally and mentally taxing.
In the one-minute-23-second-long trailer, dropped by Netflix on December 13, the Duke of Sussex refers to the events that led to their exit as “institutional gaslighting”.
“I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves. I was being fed to the wolves,” says Meghan as she talks about her experiences.
The short video shows clips of the couple lamenting the “dirty game” allegedly played by some of the senior members of Britain’s royal family and promise to share the “full truth”.
The trailer also shows footage from the couple’s wedding alongside newspaper headlines. It shows a short clip, which seems to be shot in an airplane, we see Harry saying, “We are on the freedom flight.”
The trailer features photographs and video footage of the couple at home in California, and with their children. Meghan says, “It gave us a chance to create that home we always wanted.”
The trailer ends with Harry saying, ”I have always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for.”
