Singer Guru Randhawa is set to make his acting debut alongside Saiee Manjrekar and Anupam Kher with romantic comedy Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay, the first teaser of which was dropped by the makers on Tuesday.

The 57-second-long teaser, which Randhawa shared on Instagram, introduces him as ‘sirfira Majnu’ and Saiee as ‘beautiful Laila’. The video, also featuring a rendition of Randhawa’s popular 2018 song Ishare Tere, promises a wholesome love story with a twist.

“A love story that’s as sweet as candy, with a twist of Sirfira Majnu’s antics and Beautiful Laila’s charm Join us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, drama and whole lot of fun,” the 32-year-old singer wrote alongside the movie teaser on Instagram.

Directed by G. Ashok and produced by Amit Bhatia and Laveena Bhatia, the upcoming family entertainer also stars Ila Arun in a pivotal role.

Randhawa’s latest music video Sunrise starring himself and Shehnaaz Gill released on January 8.

Saiee Manjrekar, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, made her acting debut with Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 in 2019 and was last seen in the Boyapati Srinu-directed Skanda: The Attacker.

Penned by Raj Saluja, Niket Pandey, Shobit Sinha and Vijay Pal Singh, Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay is slated to release on February 16.
