Fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare, who tied the knot with Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan in Mumbai on Wednesday, jogged from Santa Cruz to Bandra — a distance of almost 8 km — to reach the wedding venue with a small group of friends.

The groom-to-be’s unique fitness-inspired journey has quickly become the talk of the town, with glimpses of him in athleisure outfits making waves on social media.

Nupur and Ira formalised their union on Wednesday in Mumbai, where the legal marriage ceremony took place. The couple chose to keep the wedding affair simple, with only close friends and family in attendance. Alongside Aamir, both his former wives — Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao — were present at the ceremony.

Sources say a big wedding function, involving big names from the film industry, for the newlyweds has been planned in Udaipur on January 8. The couple, along with their friends and family,will soon be heading to Udaipur.

Ira and Nupur reportedly met during the Covid-induced lockdown. The duo got engaged in November 2022.
