But the SidKiara wedding definitely felt different. The groom, an immaculately dressed Sidharth Malhotra, shone as much as — or perhaps even stole the spotlight from — his pretty bride Kiara Advani during their swanky wedding at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer on February 7.

The 38-year-old Delhi model-turned-actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year in 2012, is the best-looking Bollywood groom we have laid our eyes on of late. His smart airport looks matched with a shy smile, his brave choice of hues and silhouettes, the big cocktail ring he wore with the sherwani, the way he carries a shawl – all these little details made Sidharth stand out from his peers who got married in recent times.

Flashing that gorgeous smile, Sidharth looked perfect at his wedding in a Manish Malhotra metallic gold sherwani embellished with ivory thread, zardozi and badla work. Besides the big pagdi pin and the elaborate diamond necklace, the polki ring on his index finger was a show-stealer — all handcrafted pieces from Manish Malhotra’s Raniwala 1881 collection.

At their reception in Mumbai, Sidharth looked dapper in a black-on-black Manish Malhotra tailor-made classic turtleneck paired with a hand-embroidered velvet blazer, studded with black crystals and bugle beads, and velvet pants.

At the Mehndi ceremony, Sidharth opted for a Manish Malhotra self-toned mustard kurta with tonal thread work and an intricate Kashmiri woven shawl.

We loved how the just-married Bollywood actor didn’t shy away from wearing red to literally twin with Kiara. And the way he carried the shawl is just wow.
