Google paid a special tribute to the late singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) with a doodle on his debut song anniversary on October 25.

“This Doodle celebrates Krishnakumar Kunnath, also known as KK, a successful Indian playback singer most known for his versatility. He is widely remembered for recording songs in several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati,” wrote Google on the Google Doodle page dedicated to KK.
KK made his Bollywood singing debut with Chhod Aaye Hum from Gulzar’s Maachis (1996). KK’s debut song had Hariharan, Suresh Wadkar and Vinod Sehgal accompanying the artiste. Maachis starred Tabu, Chandrachur Singh, Jimmy Sheirgill, Om Puri in lead roles.
KK was born in Delhi on August 23, 1968. The singer breathed his last in Kolkata on May 31, 2022. He was 53-years-old. Music aficionados and Bollywood lovers still croon KK’s timeless soulful melodies like Tadap Tadap Ke, Aankhon Mein Teri, Dil Ibaadat, Zara Sa, Piya Aaye Na, Tu Jo Mila, Abhi Abhi, Beete Lamhein, to name a few. KK’s debut album Pal (1999) holds a special place in the heart of the music lovers too.
