The makers of Goodbye, starring Amitabh Bachchan, reveal that they have capped the ticket price of the recently released film at Rs 80 to celebrate the megastar's birthday today.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co, Goodbye hit the screens on October 7. It also stars Neena Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna. Balaji Motion Pictures took to its official Twitter page to make the announcement.
“Big B turns 80 tomorrow and this calls for a grand celebration. Celebrate his 80th birthday, his legacy, and his fandom by watching his latest film #Goodbye with your family in cinemas near you at the price of only ₹80/- on 11th October 2022,” the banner said in the tweet.
The cast of Goodbye took to social media to wish their co-actor a happy 80th. Rashmika Mandanna, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in the movie, wrote, “Happiest birthday to you papa ❤️.”
Actor Pavail Gulati, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s son in the movie, wrote, “Happy birthday Amit Sir!! Love you ❤️.”
Sunil Grover, who makes a special appearance in Goodbye, posted a preview of the song Happy Birthday from the movie to wish a happy 80th to the Bollywood icon. He wrote, “It’s Big B’s 80th birthday and here is a sneak peek to the #HappyBirthday song that is dropping today 🥳

Sahil Mehta, who plays Amitabh Bachchan’s son in the movie, also took to Instagram to wish the veteran actor. He posted a clipping of the song Happy Birthday on his page and added a heartfelt message for the octogenarian actor.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Goodbye is a tearjerker with several emotional moments. It tells the story of a family dealing with grief after the death of the family matriarch. The film explores the constant tussle between dogmatic practices and scientific temper. It also deals with the sensitive issue of communication gap between parents and their children.
Goodbye has collected Rs 5.16 crore at the box office in its opening weekend. The family drama features Pavail Gulati, Elli Avram, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta and Abhishek Khan in key roles.
