The 36-second-long teaser shows a glimpse of a new monster threat as we see the skulls of Godzilla and King Kong’s lying on the floor.

“Godzilla and Kong team up to face a world-ending threat so terrifying that neither could survive alone,” reads the synopsis of the project.

Adam Wingard is returning to the franchise to direct the upcoming film. Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle will also return for the upcoming instalment with Dan Stevens, Fala Chen and Rachel House among the newcomers.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be the sequel of 2021’s American monster film Godzilla vs. Kong, which followed Kong: Skull Island (2017) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019).

Helmed by Adam Wingard, Godzilla vs. Kong was one of the pandemic theatrical success stories, grossing USD 470 million at the global box office in March 2021.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be the fifth film in Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.’ monsterverse.
