Team Milkshake Murders recently got together to launch the trailer of the KLIKK series at Refinery 091. Riingo Banerjee’s series follows a failed author who lives in Pattaya, Thailand. He travels to Phi Phi Islands and meets a very unimpressive person who claims to have struck a big deal with an internationally acclaimed publishing house for a novel whose manuscripts are yet to be delivered. Intriguing incidents happen, and in the course of the next 24 hours, the failed author is in possession of the manuscript while the real owner lies dead under the coral sea of Phi Phi. The author now conveniently takes the identity of the dead man and soon becomes the best-selling writer of his time.
As the narrative progresses, layers of intrigue are authored. As his success reaches new heights, a new revelation puts the writer in a clutch of fear as his book is now considered a murderer’s journal, which highlights all details of past murders in Calcutta. Starring Neel Bhattacharya, Trina Saha, Saurav Das and Joey DebRoy, Milkshake Murders is a new-age, fast-paced thriller, which is set to stream on KLIKK.
“The response is crazy. I guess people love thrillers, that’s becoming rather evident as audience reactions pour in. And this one with an international premise, with super actors as the unusual suspects, takes matters up to a higher orbit. People just lapped it up. My brilliant cast and crew were a bundle of energy throughout a rather challenging shooting schedule in international climes. The bonding of the cast, in particular, combusted the chemistry a notch higher,” said Riingo.

“Everyone has found the trailer to be grand and loved the edge-of-the-seat thriller element. But the cliffhangers have left the audience asking for more! The cast has created a lot of buzz where old friends like Saurav, Neel, Joey, and I have got back together. Joey and I have already worked together under Riingo Banerjees’ direction in our hit series Pilkunj last year. Acting with Neel for the first time in a web series was thoroughly enjoyable. A lot of speculation is going around about our characters and the axis of on-screen equations between them which I believe has created a lot of intrigue and positive buzz for our series. I’ve essayed a role which is different from what I’ve done before on screen. The way I talk, dress up and essentially carry myself in this series. It’s a first for me, in so many years of my career. I’m eagerly waiting for the release,” said Trina.
“Milkshake Murders is a very unique experience for me as it is the first web series I’ve shot for, after working on the small screen for several years. My first web series shoot was mounted on such a grand scale, across exotic locations in Thailand... it is truly memorable. The trailer reaction has been fantastic from everyone. These good wishes I’d like to accept with a lot of humility. Our director Riingo Banerjee is like an institution; there is so much to learn from him. Ohendrila Banerjee, our producer took such great care of us like family. It certainly motivates our performance and morale, when the star cast are close friends and family. This is the best star cast I could hope for. I’m excitedly looking forward to July 19 when Milkshake Murders releases on KLIKK,” said Neel.

My look and the international content seems to have started off on a great pitch. One of the most interesting parts of the shoot experience was my look. We had multiple look tests and finally zeroed in on this interesting look. It used to take more than an hour to get into the look and as much to get out of it. The versatility made my character Shadow look extremely intriguing. This is the first time I worked with Riingo Banerjee and his approach made us vibe exceptionally well and meet the expectations of the character. This is my third series with KLIKK and my first internationally mounted web series. They are mounting great projects and have become like family after these three outings. The buzz is high with Milkshake Murders and I would keenly look forward to a hattrick of hits now,” said Saurav.
