Team Projapati recently got together for the trailer launch of the December 23 film at The Bengal Club. Projapati stars Dev and Mithun Chakraborty in the lead roles. Mamata Shankar will also be seen playing a major role in the film along with Sweta Bhattacharya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Biswanath Basu, Koneenica Banerjee and Koushani Mukherjee amongst others. Projapati, produced by Bengal Talkies and Dev Entertainment Ventures, is a father-son story, and the respect and affection that both Mithun and Dev have for each other will get reflected in the film. “Projapati is such a moving film. It will resonate with everyone. It’ll make you laugh and cry. The name projapati is used as a metaphor. I share a great bond with Mithunda, and it’s a great feeling to have shared screen space with him,” says Dev. “After the success of Tonic, we are coming with Projapati this season that will connect with everyone. The movie has a mass appeal and will portray the endearing relation between a father and his son. Projapati is also very special since Mithun Chakraborty and Mamata Shankar share the screen space once again 46 years after Mrigaya.
