Team 36 Ghonta recently got together to launch the trailer of the KLIKK thriller, which follows Nihar, the protagonist of the story, who faces financial ruin. A chance discovery of a large amount of money at a car accident site tempts Nihar to take a drastic step, unknowingly dragging him into a political scandal. Pursued by a conflicted police officer, a harried Nihar escapes into the jungle, setting off a complex chain of events driven by personal motives.
“It is not often that a rather ordinary man gets to face extraordinary challenges in life. The narrative becomes gripping with the myriad twists and turns of fate that perilously hunts him down. Playing Nihar was physically and mentally challenging in a tough outdoor shoot. I’m happy to see that I’ve been able to extract the vulnerability and anguish of Nihar, that our director Jon had envisaged. Compliments have come in from everywhere after the trailer release,” said Koushik Roy.
Debasree Roy plays Suchi, the wife of a police inspector. “With a small child, it is tough as a family member of someone whose husband is a lawkeeper. Oscillating between the challenges of greed, material needs, struggles and emotional turmoils one goes through, leading such a life can be daunting. I’ve been complimented for my work and hope audiences will love the series,” said Roy.

In the series, the key characters grapple with greed, ambition and the consequences of their actions blurring the lines between right and wrong. “It is a tale replete with conflicts, vulnerabilities and fatalities in a rugged, unpredictable terrain and topography, which makes the journey of filmmaking all the more challenging. A fantastic cast and crew, truly makes me relieved to see positive vibes after the trailer launch, where audiences have given us a thumbs up to the taut storytelling. Now, many are eagerly awaiting for the mystery to unfold. Through the journey of a man, I wanted to convey the harrowing message of how all the people close to us can change radically. How greed can constantly propel us towards dire consequences,” said Jon Halder, director.
“This has been an overwhelming journey with 36 Ghonta. Essaying the conflicted mind of a cop who’s swinging between conscience and consequential rewards was challenging. Domestic compulsions of a demanding wife and the allure of ascent in his cop career keep gnawing at his being. That apart I was also the creative director and production designer for the series. Overall, I’m happy to see the translation of the desired persona on screen after the trailer launch,” said Plaban Basu.
