Priti Agarwal, the producer of the film. “The movie and its essence are both very close to me. It is a story underlining selfless love, made during the turbulent Covid time. The message, I believe, should reach as many people as possible and nothing better than the OTT platform of Disney+ Hotstar. It not only makes me immensely happy but deeply satisfied too, totake the film to such a large and versatile range of audience. As the story does not limit to any specific culture or generation, it should appeal to and be relatable to all who view it,” said Priti.

Director Indira Dhar Mukkherjee with son Kabir and husband Snigdhadeb at the screening. “As a filmmaker that is the key — what is the content and where the content lands. I surely want the film to get a lot of viewers. We wanted a larger reach, that’s the reason we made the film in Calcutta. When the film was made I came to Calcutta from Bombay and the film got released from Bombay. So, we wanted an OTT release which will give the viewership that the film deserves and I am glad that Disney+ Hotstar is actually distributing the film. Most likely people liked the film because it is a known story yet very fresh. People could relate to the film because the film is based in Calcutta. It is not fast-paced content but has a pace of its own. When it reached the jury panels at various festivals, that is when I understood that I made the right film. I would request every mother to watch Green Window. It is dedicated to all the mothers,” said Indira.
