Anirban Chakrabarti at the premiere of The Eken — Ruddhaswas Rajasthan at INOX, South City. This time, the action is set in Rajasthan.“Eken Babu has this huge connect because he is very adorable and loveable. We have not seen detectives like Eken Babu before. Eken is not larger than life like the others. He is the guy next door. He loves to eat, talks a lot, comes up with poor jokes. He is unassuming. At the sametime he is very intelligent, sharp and properly trained. The contrasting characteristics have made him very interesting,” says Anirban.

“In the film, we see that Rajyashree is fond of sketching and reading. Infact, I was given a diary to fill in with sketches and writings that Rajyashree would have made. I found it helpful as it enabled me to get into her character in depth and understand her feelings, emotions and ideas. A thorough professional, she is entrusted with the care of all the museum’s artefacts. She is passionate about her work and takes her responsibilities very seriously,” says Sandipta Sen.
