Team Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine got together at Someplace Else, The Park, recently to launch the music of their film. The musical evening witnessed performances by Lagnajita Chakraborty, Akash Chakrabarty, and Nabarun Bose. “The music release of the movie Shohorer Ushnotomo Dine took place at Someplace Else. This itself is fantastic to me. Because we know that many distinguished artistes have performed here. My first-ever introduction to world rock music happened at Someplace Else. In that respect, there can be no better place to launch our movie songs. It is a romantic movie with pictures of love and pictures of Calcutta. People loved the music composed by Nabarun and Akash to punctuate the emotions of Calcutta,” said director Aritra Sen.

Nabarun has composed two songs for the film. “The song Raater kachhe, lyrics by Pranjal and sung by Arnab Das, embodies the spirit of the film completely. The song talks about love and longing, reflecting on the warm and intimate nature of the relationships that bloom in and around the City of Joy. On the other hand, Time Machine, written by Akash Chakrabarty and sung by Lagnajita, is a song about acknowledging the past and moving forward. It talks about how the city of Calcutta embodies the memories of a thousand lives and hence, metaphorically becomes a ‘Time Machine’. The songs are simple, honest, and straightforward and at the same time poetic and heavy on metaphors, much like the city of Calcutta. The response has been amazing! Both the songs are currently trending,” said Nabarun.
