Gobindo daant majena, the first song from the Durga Puja film Raktabeej, dropped recently. Raktabeej is a thriller directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. Based on the Burdwan blast in 2014, the film is about the homecoming of a man who holds an important portfolio, and how an accidental blast in a firecracker unit unveils a bigger threat to his life. The film stars Victor Banerjee, Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Kanchan Mallick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Satyam Bhattacharya, Debasish Mondal, Devlina Kumar and others.

Composed by Surajit Chatterjee, the song features Ankush Hazra. “This song is very special for us. Ankush has done a great job in the song. This is the first time we worked with Ankush and I must say it was a great experience. Surajit comes with a luck factor in our films, we hope this song soars higher,” said Shiboprosad.

“When I started writing this song only the hook line came to my mind, which is Gobindo daant majena. After writing it, I thought to myself that nobody can do justice to this line, except Didi and Shibu, as they understand me the best. When Shibu asked for a song I pitched them this. I cannot believe how effortlessly and amazingly they incorporated this song of mine into their film," said Surajit.
