It was a shower of stories and stars as the cast and crew of five films got together recently. Four films were formally announced to be presented/released by Dhagaa Production, and a party was thrown to celebrate the success of Eta Amader Golpo. “I’m extremely happy to have celebrated the momentous milestone of 50 houseful days for our film Eta Amader Golpo... hope it crosses 100 days too! I extend a heartfelt thanks to our producers Suvankar Mitra of Dhagaa Production and Subhash Bera and our entire cast and crew, without whom we wouldn’t have seen this success story unfold so far,” said director Manasi Sinha.

“We are overwhelmed by the phenomenal response to Eta Amader Golpo. The core philosophy was to genuinely and passionately support good film content and the industry. Recently we announced acting auditions for our banking of talent and our new ventures. We were overwhelmed with over 2,000 registrations from talented aspirants. These are very exciting times for the Bangla film industry and we feel privileged to be at the cusp of this new horizon and leading pioneering initiatives,” said Suvankar Mitra, producer, Dhagaa Production.

I feel a deep sense of empathy, especially for people who are forced to live alone due to myriad circumstances. This story is about those people who do not want to live alone. Getting the opportunity to work with her, and more importantly, directing her, will truly be inspirational and certainly motivating. In this film, Manasi Sinha, my mentor, plays a special role. This experience will certainly enrich me to do even better work in the future,” said Bappa.
Actor speak: “I will be essaying the lead character of Sarah, a professor of literature. She engages in a relationship with Sahir, and there is a significant age difference between the two. There are several nuanced layers in the storyline, which I found rather intriguing after reading the first draft. This will be my first film with Bappa. I quite like working with new directors, as they are full of energy and new hope. That apart, it’s always great to work with old friends,” said Ananya.
