Following the trailer release of Upendra’s Kabzaa and Vetrimaran’s Viduthalai Part-1, the makers of several other upcoming movies from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look at some of them.
Ghosty
Think Music India dropped the trailer for its upcoming Tamil-language horror film Ghosty. Written and directed by Kalyaan, the film stars Kajal Aggarwal, K.S.Ravikumar, Yogibabu, Redin Kingsley, Thangadurai, Jagan, Oorvasi, Sathyan and Adukalam Naren.
The two-minute-19-second-long trailer narrates the story of a woman who becomes a police officer following his father’s footsteps. On her mission to nab a criminal, who escaped from the custody of his father, she starts experiencing paranormal activities.
Ghosty will arrive in theatres on March 17.
Meter
Mythri Movie Makers unveiled the teaser of their upcoming Telugu-language action film Meter. Written and directed by Ramesh Kaduri, the film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Athulyaa Ravi in the lead roles.
The one-minute-15-second-long trailer gives us a glimpse of a mass-action entertainer. We see Kiran Abbavaram as a boy-next-door who falls for Athulyaa Ravi’s character. Then we see Abbavaram turning into an angry young man.
Meter will hit the cinemas on April 7.
Section 306 IPC
Muzik247 shared the official trailer of the upcoming Malayalam-language legal thriller Section 306 IPC. Written and directed by Sreenath Shiva, it stars Renji Panicker, Shanthi Krishna, Rahul Madhav, Jayaraj Warrier, Mareena Michael and Savithri Sreedharan.
The two-minute-51-second-long trailer takes us to a small town in Kerala, where the political situation has caused civil unrest. We see glimpses of the legal thriller which focuses on IPC 306 - ‘Abetment of suicide’.
Section 306 IPC is scheduled to release on April 6.
1 Rabari Kathe
The makers of the upcoming Kannada-language film 1 Rabari Kathe dropped the trailer of the film. Helmed by Gopal Haller Honnavara, the film stars Ranadhir Gowda, Rishvi Bhat, Sunder Raj, Shivraj KR Pete, Tabala Nani and Kari Subbu.
In the three-minute-long trailer, we are introduced to all the main characters of the film. The trailer offers thriller, romance and comedy in separate sections and gives us a glimpse into a social drama that is rooted in rural Karnataka.
1 Rabari Kathe will release on March 10.
