Abhishek Bachchan’s boozer coach motivates a dispirited Saiyami Kher to play cricket with one hand after a horrific accident leaves her India dreams in the dust in the trailer of Ghoomer.
Unveiled by Hope Productions on Friday, the two-minute-27-second-long trailer begins with a drunk Abhishek Bachchan uttering a monologue about life being a game of magic. It then shows Saiyami’s story of getting selected for the national team as a batter. However, just as everything is working out for her, she loses her right arm in a car accident, which leaves her extremely demoralised. Abhishek approaches her just when she contemplates ending her life. He begins to taunt Saiyami for weak mental strength but then motivates her to play for the country with her left hand. Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi also appear in the clip as Saiyami’s mother and boyfriend, respectively.
The training montage in which the former teaches the latter to use her left hand equally as well as her right serves as the plot's pivot. The clip concludes with Saiyami playing for India while Amitabh Bachchan appears in the trailer as a Cricket pundit.
