A group of young aspiring superheroes led by Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau have their physical and moral boundaries put to the test while competing for Godolkin University’s highly coveted top ranking in the teaser trailer of The Boys spin-off superhero series Gen V.
Dropped by Prime Video on Monday late evening, the two-minute-three-second-long teaser trailer begins with a few glimpses from the third season of The Boys before taking us to Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, run by Vought International. This special school teaches individuals with super abilities to harness their powers so that they can become superheroes. Then we are introduced to a bunch of young adults with extraordinary abilities.
Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), who is a brilliant blood bender, is told that she can become the first sophomore to win the converted prize. But when the university’s dark secrets come to light, Marie and her friends must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.
Developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke, Gen V is based on The Boys comic book story arc of We Gotta Go Now by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series also features Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Shelley Conn in the lead roles alongside Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi.
Several characters from The Boys will also be seen in the series like Jessie T. Usher as Reggie Franklin, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman, P. J. Byrne as Adam Bourke and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.
Gen V will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from September 29.
