Anurag Kashyap’s two-part gangster actioner Gangs of Wasseypur will be re-released in theatres on August 30, the filmmaker announced on Tuesday.
Both the instalments of the film will run in theatres from August 30 to September 5. Tickets, priced at Rs 149 each, can be purchased through the official website of Miraj Cinemas.
“In three days the Gang will be back... GOW back in cinemas,” Kashyap wrote on his official Instagram account.

Set in the small town of Wasseypur near Dhanbad in Jharkhand, Gangs of Wasseypur delves into three generations of a family entangled in crime, extortion and murder.
The first instalment of Gangs of Wasseypur, co-written by Kashyap and Zeishan Quadri, was released on June 22, 2012, followed by the second part on August 8, 2012. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Sneha Khanwalkar and Piyush Mishra, with lyrics by Mishra and Varun Grover.
Gangs of Wasseypur is not the only film re-releasing in theatres this weekend. Rahi Anil Barve’s Tumbbad (2018) and Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) will also be hitting cinemas this Friday. While Sohum Shah headlines Barve’s horror-fantasy thriller, Menon’s romantic drama features R. Madhavan, Saif Ali Khan and Dia Mirza in lead roles.
