“Godavari may change its course every season but Tiger Ratnakar is coming to etch himself for eternity. #GangsofGodavari coming to Netflix 14 June in Telugu Tamil Malayalam and Kannada,” read Netflix’s caption on Instagram.
According to the official synopsis on IMDb, Gangs of Godavari chronicles the activities of thugs and politicians in the Eluru and Godavari coastal regions during the 1980s.
Also starring Nassar, P. Sai Kumar, Hyper Aadi and Madhunandan, the film was first announced on April 26 last year. Gangs of Godavari was released theatrically on May 31 this year.
Gangs of Godavari is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, with Venkat Upputuri and Gopichand Innamuri serving as co-producers.
While several netizens welcomed the announcement, many expressed their disappointment over the film not releasing in Hindi.
