Actor Gabriel Macht is set to reprise his role as attorney Harvey Spectre in the upcoming Suits spin-off titled Suits: LA, he confirmed on November 20, sharing a reel on Instagram.
“When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right,” he wrote alongside the video, set to the title track of the original legal drama series.
The video shows Macht donning a shirt with the initials of his character, H.S,, printed on the cuff. Further, the word ‘Harvey’ appears inscribed on the soles of his shoes.
According to IMDb’s official synopsis, the upcoming series will follow a new group led by Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who built an L.A. law firm that specialises in criminal and entertainment laws.
Arrow actor Stephen Amell will essay the role of Ted Black in the spin-off.
Other cast members include Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, Troy Winbush as Kevin, Alice Lee as Leah and Bryan Greenberg as Rick Dodsen.
As per media reports, Macht will appear in three episodes of the upcoming series.
Produced by Universal Content Productions, Suits aired on USA Network from June 23, 2011 to September 25, 2019. All episodes of all nine seasons are currently available for streaming on Netflix in India.
The upcoming spin-off series, Suits: LA, was first announced in October last year. It is scheduled to premiere on NBC on February 23, 2025. The upcoming series is expected to be available for streaming on Netflix after that.
Set in a fictional New York City corporate law firm, the series follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), a college dropout with eidetic memory who works as an associate for the successful and charismatic attorney, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Suits revolves around Harvey and Mike’s legal triumphs as the latter strives to hide the secret of never having attended a law school.
