Fukrey 3: Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Varun Sharma’s film to release in December

Helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the third instalment in the Fukrey film franchise will also feature Pankaj Tripathi

Fukrey 3, the third instalment in the Fukrey film franchise, is set to arrive in theatres on December 1 with Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh and Pankaj Tripathi reprising their roles.

On Tuesday evening, Excel Entertainment dropped a fun video, giving a recap of the first two films before unveiling the release date of Fukrey 3. The one-minute-17-second-long trailer begins with the information that Furkey became a sleeper and then shows glimpses of the characters from 2013’s Fukrey followed by 2017’s Fukrey Returns. It then reintroduces Pulkit Samrat’s Hunny, Varun Sharma’s Choocha, Laali played by Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi’s Pandit Ji and Laali played by Richa Chadha.

The video concludes with the text “The jugaadu boys are back” before finally unveiling the release date.

Actor Ali Fazal, who portrayed the role of Zafar Bhai in the first two films, doesn’t feature in the video or the previously released poster of Fukrey 3. The latest instalment of the franchise is being directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who also helmed the first two instalments. Earlier, actor, director and producer Farhan Akhtar had shared the posters and release date of Fukrey 3 on Instagram. It was scheduled to release on September 7.

Sharing two new posters of the film on Tuesday, Farhan Akhtar had written on Twitter, “Iss baar hoga chamatkaar, straight from Jamnapaar! #Fukrey3 arriving in cinemas on 7th September, 2023.”
