After an impressive debut in Anvita Dutt’s Qala in 2022, late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan is all set for his sophomore venture. Netflix has dropped the teaser of its upcoming film Friday Night Plan, starring Babil alongside Juhi Chawla and Amrith Jayan.

Produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kassim Jagmagia, the film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 1. “Two unsupervised siblings in a room… they might have the most epic #FridayNightPlan!” the streamer tweeted along with the teaser.

Friday Night Plan promises to be a teen comedy drama filled with fun moments and laughter. Written and directed by Vatsal Neelakantan — known for his work on Excel Entertainment’s successful projects like Inside Edge and Mirzapur — the story revolves around two brothers.

Babil plays the nerdy older brother, while Amrith is the mischievous younger brother and the two are partners-in-crime. The teaser hints at an eventful and surprising night out for them when their mother, played by Juhi, leaves them at home alone for a day. The teaser offers a glimpse of Babil playing football and hints at escapades typical of high school life — campus crushes, making mad plans with friends, and dancing the night off.
