Fresh pictures from Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding festivities have surfaced on social media. Here’s a glimpse of the rituals held in Hyderabad.
Clad in a golden silk sari, Sobhita participated in rituals ahead of her wedding on December 4 in Hyderabad. She tied the knot with Chaitanya in a traditional Telugu ceremony at his family's Annapurna Studios in Banjara Hills.
The wedding is the first major celebration to take place in Annapurna Studios since the unveiling of the statue of Chaitanya's grandfather, Telugu cinema icon Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The event marked the actor-producer's birth centenary.
Chaitanya’s father, actor-producer Nagarjuna Akkineni, has expressed gratitude to friends, family and fans for their love, support and blessings in a note accompanying fresh pictures of the newlyweds.
The photo shows Sobhita and Chaitanya twinning in traditional off-white ensembles. While Chaitanya donned an off-white kurta, Sobhita looked gorgeous in an embroidered sari, accessoried with danglers, necklaces and an elaborate matha patti. Sobhita adorned her hair with a bridal wreath of white flowers.
The newlyweds posed for a group picture with Nagarjuna, his wife Amala Akkineni, his younger son Akhil Akkineni and other family members.
As per media reports, Sobhita and Chaitanya began dating in 2022. They got engaged on August 8 in Hyderabad. The couple’s wedding celebrations kicked off with the godhuma raayi papasu daanchtam ritual, which took place in Visakhapatnam in the month of October.
On the work front, Naga Chaitanya is set to headline Chandoo Mondeti's upcoming film Thandel (2025) alongside Sai Pallavi. Sobhita last appeared in ZEE5’s romantic drama Love, Sitara. It featured her opposite Rajeev Siddhartha.
