The third season of Prime Video teen romance drama FLAMES, starring Ritvik Sahore and Tanya Maniktala, sees lead pair Rajat and Ishita dealing with the pressure of board exams and navigating through their feelings for each other.

“FLAMES is set in Delhi and I was the only person from Mumbai in the group. So to break the ice with the gang, Tanya, Shivam Kakar and I went to the narrow lanes of Delhi for street food and bonded. Now after three seasons, we are a special group of friends,” said Ritvik.

“When I was a 17-year-old boy, I was just my character, Rajat, because that's the age when you do not think from your brain; it’s all heart. But in the new season, we are getting matured while keeping the innocence alive. That was challenging for all of us as performers — to portray vulnerability and maturity at the same time,” he added.

On her part, Tanya said she never thought the show would become a success. “Back when we started, I didn’t think this show would receive so much love from the audience. I hold this show very close to my heart. Playing a character that is going through a transformative age that every teenager goes through makes Ishita very adorable.”

FLAMES began with Rajat (Ritvik) and Ishita (Tanya) as two dreamy-eyed teenagers who meet at an IIT entrance coaching class. Over the three seasons their relationship has progressed and matured.

Created by The Viral Fever and directed by Divyanshu Malhotra, the show also features Sunakshi Grover and Shivam Kakar in pivotal roles.
