Filmmaker Onir on Tuesday unveiled the first-look poster of his upcoming film Pine Cone, which is set to open the Kashish Film Festival — touted as South Asia’s largest queer film fest — on June 7.

The poster, designed by Siddharth Dutta, featuring actors Vidhur Sethi and Sahib Verma in an intimate moment, offers a glimpse into the intense emotions that are showcased in the film.
According to the makers, Pine Cone serves as a powerful advocate of “true representation” of the LGBTQ+ community in cinema and is inspired by real-life experiences. The film promises to captivate audiences with its layered love story of a homosexual man as he navigates through love, loss and desire.
Written by Ashwini Malik along with Onir, the film also features Amit Gurjar, Aniket Ghosh, Hanun Bawra, Surabhi Tiwari and Damandeep Singh Chaudhary.
Known for films such as I Am, Bas Ek Pal, Shab and Kuch Bheege Alfaaz, Onir has dedicated his career to crafting narratives that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and their journey towards love, equality and acceptance.
