Squadron leaders Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone bond with their team members — Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi — on the airstrip and off duty in the music video of the Fighter song Heer Aasmani, dropped by the makers of the Siddharth Anand directorial on Monday.

The two-minute-33-second-long song Heer Aasmani, touted as a rhythmic anthem celebrating air force officers and the power of friendship, introduces us to all the team members in Hrithik and Deepika’s air force, giving a glimpse of them performing their aerial duties as well as enjoying breaks together.

The music video opens with a bird’s eye view of a military air base before showing Hrithik’s Patty getting ready for a mission with Deepika’s Minni. They are soon joined by their fellow air force officers, played by Anil, Karan and Akshay.

Deepika is seen in a new avatar as she sports an olive green air force uniform, ties her hair up in a bun and wears sunglasses. Scenes showing the team spending time away from work at bonfires and shower rooms depict their indomitable spirit and powerful bond.

Sung by Vishal Dadlani, Sheykhar Ravjiani and B Praak, Heer Aasmani is penned by Kumaar, known for his songs like Rula Ke Gaya Ishq (2022), Dil Ki Aadat (2022) and the recent Dunki song Banda.

Sharing the music video on Instagram, Deepika wrote, “A love letter to our skies #HeerAasmani Song Out Now.”

Fighter is set to hit theatres on January 25. The film is coming out exactly one year after the release of Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan and marks Deepika’s second collaboration with the director.

Fighter will also mark Hrithik’s second film with the director after their 2019 film War, which also starred Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.
