The makers of Hrithik-Roshan-starrer Fighter wished the Bollywood star on his 50th birthday on Wednesday by dropping a behind-the-scenes video showcasing his transformation into Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aerial action thriller.

Featuring his dance moves, workout sessions and fashion statements, the video shows how Hrithik rehearses his steps, lifts weights and poses against a bike on the sets of Fighter. The video concludes with the actor playing the actioner’s background score on a harmonica.

Fighter director Siddharth Anand also took to Instagram to wish Hrithik on the latter’s special day. Sharing a BTS picture with the actor from the sets of their upcoming film, Siddharth wrote on Wednesday, “10 years ago we began our journey together. You believed in me at a point when very few people did. Life has never been the same for me. I don’t think I ever thanked you. For the small. And big things. You have a heart like no other. “

Wishing the Vikram Vedha star an abundance of health, happiness and success, the director also allowed a little wish for himself, “...may we keep walking together.”

Hrithik’s co-star in Fighter, Anil Kapoor, also penned a heartfelt note on Instagram on the occasion. “The inspired said to the inspiration - “Are you for real!?” Kaun inspired hai aur kaun inspiration (Who is inspired and who is the inspiration), I’ll leave the guesswork to you...Happy Birthday HR...Love you Fighter,” he wrote alongside a picture of himself and Hrithik standing on the set of their latest movie together.

Hrithik’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan also extended her heartfelt wishes by sharing a video montage of the actor and their sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, on Instagram. Calling Hrithik a ‘father ocean’, Sussanne wrote, “I wish you even more super success, the greatest Love story and alll the blessings to make all your dreams come true.. god bless you limitless…P.S 50 looks more like 30 on you.”

Hrithik’s parents, Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan, were among the first ones to wish him on Wednesday. Taking a trip down the memory lane, Pinkie shared a childhood picture of the actor and reminisced about the time when Hrithik was only a “heartbeat” inside her. “You’ve stood up for the downtrodden, empathised with everyone from all walks of life and respect women in a manner that not only sets an example to your wonderful growing boys but puts other men to shame,” she wrote.

“Keep soaring, pierce the sky and go farther than you dare to dream because at 50, the universe is yours for the taking,” she ended her note.

Rakesh, too, congratulated his son for completing the half century. “Duggu happy half century...Cheers to 50yrs of love, unforgettable memories and to many incredible achievements ahead. Lots of love & blessings,” the Krrish 3 director captioned a picture of him and Hrithik sitting together at a table.

After starring in Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone, Hrithik will lead the sequel to Yash Raj Films’s 2019 spy action drama War.
