Tollywood star Jeet thanked his fans and well wishers as he completed 21 years in the Bengali film industry. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday morning, the Chengiz actor wrote, “21 years completed with you, and it feels like I have just begun. There are so many more dreams and aspirations in my heart with only one goal, to entertain you. Heartfelt Gratitude to all who have been part of this journey.”
Jeet made his Bengali film debut with Haranath Chakraborty’s blockbuster Sathi, which released on this day in 2002. The film revolved around Bijoy, a talented singer who comes to Kolkata to pursue his dreams. However, in a tragic accident caused by him, a girl named Sonali (Priyanka Upendra) loses her eyesight. Ridden with guilt, Bijoy embarks on a series of sacrifices to support Sonali and her grandmother financially. Unaware of Bijoy’s assistance, Sonali continues to resent him for the accident.
Jeet began his career as a model in 1993. His initial venture into acting was in a Bengali television series, Bishabriksha (1994-95), helmed by Bishnu Palchaudhuri. He marked his big screen debut with the Telugu movie Chandu (2001). His repertoire boasts numerous commercial hits such as Nater Guru, Sangee, Bandhan, Wanted, Dui Prithibi, Boss: Born to Rule, and most recently, Chengiz. Jeet has also hosted several reality shows on television including Koti Takar Baaji, Bigg Boss Bangla Season 2 and Ismart Jodi.
Jeet is also the owner of two production houses — Grassroot Entertainment and Jeetz Filmworks.
The actor is currently holidaying in Austria with his wife Mohna and daughter Navanya.
