I like Ashutosh Rana and Renuka Shahane as a couple. They perfectly complement each other. In many interviews, Ashutosh Rana has declared that though they differ in many aspects, it is a strong friendship which is the main pillar of their relationship. It is appreciable that both of them, in spite of being busy actors, never mix their professional and personal lives. Along with acting, both have many common interests in Indian literature, heritage and culture. Whenever they are together on any open platform, their mutual respect catches everyone’s eye. The maturity and purity of their relationship is reflected through their harmonious conversation and evergreen chemistry. (Which is your favourite Indian celeb couple... February 7)
Puhabi Das
My favourite Indian celeb couple would be Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. I still remember when I first watched this pair in a 2013 commercial in between the overs of an India vs Sri Lanka ODI match. I instantly felt that there was a chemistry between these two celebs from almost unrelated industries. Both were emerging stars in their respective fields back then and somehow the pair felt more genuine than the ones that generally appear in commercials with a forced chemistry of a few seconds just to promote a product. I was glad when I came to know later that their love story began on the sets of this shoot and today they are one of the most powerful and inspiring couples in the country, with their success in their respective fields, as well as their camaraderie both as a couple and as parents.
Resham Das
My favourite Indian celeb couple is Sachin Tendulkar and Anjali Tendulkar. Though they are world famous, they are simple, elegant and classy. Their love story started before they became stars but the fact that their love and respect for each other continues even today amazes me. I have great respect for this couple because they perfectly complement each other.
Anuradha Raza
My favourite celebrity couple would be Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh. Though they have a nine-year age difference, they have proven that in the tumultuous world of Bollywood, relationships can still go strong. Genelia hails from a Mangalorean Catholic family whereas Riteish is from the Maratha heartland. Both are extremely tolerant of each other’s differences as they are of their quirks.
They are low-key so far as their day-to-day existence is concerned. Which in itself is a marvellous feat in today’s world. Their marriage has completed 12 years. Here’s wishing them many more years of blissful togetherness.
Pampa Paul
My favourite celeb Indian couple is Shibaji Chattopadhyay-Arundhati Holme Chowdhury. Not only have they excelled as playback singers in Bengali films, Shibaji and Arundhati have also attained great heights in the circle of Rabindrasangeet by virtue of their divine and soothing voices.
Either in solo or duet, as composer or singer, Shibaji and Arundhati form an indelible part of Tarun Majumdar films — Dadar Kirti, Path Bhola, Bhalobasa Bhalobasa, Neelimay Neel, Chander Bari, with Alo being the cherry on the cake. Apart from their artistic brilliance, the humility and civility of the two is impeccable, to say the least.
Kajal Chatterjee
My favourite Indian celeb couple is Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. They are one of the best and almost everyone’s favourite among Indian celeb couples. Their chemistry is fun and exciting. You will always find Anushka posting on her social media or visiting the stadiums to cheer Virat and his team. They are the biggest support system for each other and that is what makes them my favourite couple. Despite coming from completely different professions, they have overcome a lot of challenges together.
Anushka Ghosh
I’ve been following actor Ritwick Chakraborty and actress Aparajita Ghosh Das for a long time now and they top my list of favourite Indian celeb couples. Wearing a bond of 13 years radiantly on their faces, they have a wonderful perspective towards relationships and marriage. I have also imbibed positivity from them. Even their on-screen chemistry is very soothing and praiseworthy. They let their fans have a sneak peek into their lives sometimes through their social media accounts and that makes me love this celeb couple more.
Tanima Kundu
The celebrity couple comprising Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and actor-turned-bestselling author Twinkle Khanna are my favourite Indian celeb couple. The pair tied the knot on January 17, 2001, which means they are now celebrating their 24th year of togetherness. This magical jodi — which is surely among the most-adored celeb couples of this time in our country — is my favourite because I am a huge fan of both. On the one hand, Mr Khiladi is one of my fave Bollywood heroes since childhood and on the other, Twinkle Khanna is one of my favourite writers.
