Bollywood celebrities including Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan dropped throwback photos with their dads to mark Father’s Day on June 16. Madhuri Dixit and Genelia Deshmukh also thanked their husbands for being great fathers to their kids on the day, dropping never-before-seen photos. Here’s a look.
Madhuri Dixit shared a throwback picture with her father Shankar Dixit. The 57-year-old actress also wished her husband Shriram Madhav Nene by sharing a picture from their vacations with their sons Arin and Ryan. “A father is someone you look up to no matter how tall you grow. Happy father’s day to the best fathers in the world,” read Madhuri’s caption on Instagram.
Sporting a cop uniform, Sara Ali Khan posed with her dad Saif Ali Khan, who was dressed as a criminal. Sara referred to her father as her ‘friend, philosopher and guide’ as well as her ‘partner-in-crime’. Another photo shared by the 28-year-old actress on Instagram shows her twinning in black with her dad.
Sara’s younger brother Ibrahim Ali Khan also took to Instagram to wish Saif by sharing a childhood picture with him.
Vikrant Massey’s wife Sheetal Thakur shared a picture of him with their son Vardaan. The 12th Fail actor and his wife welcomed their son on February 7 this year. They tied the knot on February 14, 2022.
Bipasha Basu shared a bunch of then-and-now pictures, wishing her father Hirak Basu on the special day. The actress also wished her husband Karan Singh Grover by sharing a video of him playing with their one-year-old daughter Devi.
Sharing a childhood picture with the late Yash Johar, Karan Johar reminisced about the happy moments he spent with his dad. Acknowledging Yash’s loving and compassionate nature, Karan said that he tries to teach his kids, Yash and Roohi, the same lessons in grace, ambition and humility.

Hrithik Roshan shared how his father Rakesh Roshan has been an inspiration for him and his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan. “People still don’t know the real magnitude of the Man you are. Sonam Kapoor extended Father’s Day greetings to her dad Anil Kapoor and father-in-law Harish Ahuja. Sharing a heartwarming video of her husband Anand Ahuja playing with their son Vayu, Sonam wrote, “Dear @anandahuja any man can become a father but it takes courage, sensitivity, joy, laughter, empathy patience and unconditional love to become a Dad. And I promise you you’re one of the best...Happy Father’s Day.”

Karan Deol marked Father’s Day by sharing a picture with his dad Sunny Deol and his grandfather Dharmendra.
Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan Shah penned a note to pay tribute to his father. “Your smile is a ray of light that illumines all! Love you Baba,” wrote Vivaan before sharing a quote by Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw.
