This Diwali turned extra special for fashion designer Masaba Gupta as she celebrated the festival of lights alongside her father, legendary cricketer Vivian Richards, who travelled to India to participate in the festivities.
Taking to Instagram to share glimpses of her heartwarming celebrations, Masaba posted a series of photos on Sunday. Among these one image stood out — Masaba, posing with her beaming father. While Masaba was dazzling in a red outfit, the West Indian cricket legend was wearing a white shirt and white trousers. “A special Diwali. Papa ♥️ and lots of pyaar from people who bring light into my life every day. Have a great year, everyone. #happydiwali,” she wrote in the caption.
Born to Neena Gupta and Vivian Richards out of wedlock, Masaba was raised by her mother alone. In 2008, Neena married chartered accountant Vivek Mehra, adding another dimension to Masaba's family structure.
Vivian Richards had earlier visited India in January to attend Masaba's wedding to Satyadeep Misra. Masaba had shared a family picture at the time. "For the first time ever - My whole life came together. This is us. My beautiful blended family. Everything from here on is just a bonus," she had captioned the post.
