Actor-singer Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming single Reach For The Stars will drop on August 29, he announced on social media on Wednesday, sharing the official poster.
“Hey, Excited to share I’ve got a new single titled ‘Reach For The Stars’ releasing on the 29th of August. Links to pre-save the drop can be found in bio. Happy listening and happy sharing,” Farhan wrote on Instagram.
The poster features Farhan Akhtar in a black outfit, singing passionately into a microphone. The background is predominantly white. The song title is displayed in bold with a starry texture.
Farhan recently featured in the three-part Prime Video documentary series Angry Young Men, which delves into the influential creative partnership and legacy of the legendary Bollywood writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Farhan co-produced the series alongside Salman Khan, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti.
He also celebrated 23 years of his debut film Dil Chahta Hai (2001) on Saturday by sharing a video on Instagram. He wrote, “Here’s to lifelong friendships. To the cast, crew and audience, your love has kept #DilChahtaHai alive for 23 years. #23YearsOfDilChahtaHai.”
Dil Chahta Hai explores the lives of three friends and how their relationships evolve as they navigate through life's ups and downs. The film revolutionised storytelling in Hindi cinema, introducing a fresh, urban approach to narrative, character development, music, costumes, and styling.
On the work front, Farhan Akhtar is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Don 3, which stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role, taking over from Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars Kiara Advani in the lead role and is expected to hit theatres in 2025.
