Actor-director Farhan Akhtar on Sunday dropped a poster of his upcoming production venture Agni, starring Pratik Gandhi and Divyenndu, to mark the occasion of International Firefighters day.
The poster, shared by Farhan on Instagram, features Pratik as a firefighter carrying a young boy on his back and rescuing him from a place engulfed by fire. The words “Courage, honor, sacrifice” are written underneath the title of the film.
“This #InternationalFirefightersDay, we celebrate the unsung heroes who risk their lives to save ours. Get ready for #Agni, a tribute to their valour,” the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor wrote alongside the poster.
Fans flooded the comments section and expressed their excitement for the film. “Indian cinema needs more actors and directors like Farhan AKHTAR. THIS GUY IN DIFFERENT,” one of them wrote, heaping praise on Farhan.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Agni also stars Saiyami Kher in a key role. The film is backed by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhware’s production company Excel Entertainment, which is set to produce a film titled Operation Trident on the Indian Navy’s exploits during the India-Pakistan war in 1971.
Apart from Farhan’s new project, Pratik has Hansal Mehta’s film Gandhi in the pipeline, while Divyenndu was last seen in Netflix’s The Railway Man alongside R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon and Babil Khan.
