Actor Emraan Hashmi is set to make his South cinema debut with Sujeeth’s gangster drama OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, the makers confirmed on June 15.
The action-packed film will see Emraan, who is known for films like Murder, Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Hamari Adhuri Kahani, play the antagonist opposite Pawan Kalyan.
“I am excited to embark on this new journey in the South Indian film industry with OG. The movie has a strong and gripping script; it offers me a challenging role. I look forward to working with Pawan Kalyan sir, Sujeeth, Danayya sir and the entire team — I am confident that we will create a memorable cinematic experience for the audience,” said Emraan.
Other than roping in Emraan, the makers recently announced that Tamil actress Sriya Reddy would be playing a key role in the film. Veteran actor Prakash Raj will also feature in a prominent role in the gangster movie.
Though major parts of the film have been shot in Mumbai, the makers are now ready to embark on the next phase of shooting in Hyderabad very soon.
Written and directed by Sujeeth under the DVV Entertainments banner, OG is produced by DVV Danayya. Its music will be scored by Thaman S.
