A fresh teaser of Yorgos Lanthimos's upcoming film Kinds of Kindness was dropped by the makers on Thursday, featuring Emma Stone who dances to Swedish singer-songwriter Cobrah’s Brand New Bitch.

Clocking in at just 26 seconds, the teaser serves primarily to confirm the movie's screening at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

“See you on the Croisette. Kinds of Kindness, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Premiering at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. In UK and Irish cinemas June 28th. #KindsOfKindness,” the official handle of Searchlight Pictures wrote alongside the teaser on X.

In addition to Stone’s dynamic dance moves, the teaser offers fleeting glimpses of other cast members such as Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer.

This video follows close on the heels of another teaser dropped in late March, building anticipation for Lanthimos’s latest cinematic offering.

The official logline of the movie describes Kinds of Kindness as a “triptych fable” about “a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”

Lanthimos’s last film Poor Things, which was also headlined by Stone, received four Oscars at the 2024 Academy Awards for best actress, production design, makeup and hairstyling, and costume design.

Kinds of Kindness is slated for release in theaters on June 21 in the US and June 28 in the UK.
