Emily in Paris actress Lily Collins and Money Heist actor Álvaro Morte will make their London West End stage debuts with Bess Wohl’s play Barcelona at the Duke of York’s Theatre, the official Facebook page of the play announced on Monday.
“JUST ANNOUNCED: Lily Collins and Álvaro Morte will make their London stage debuts in BARCELONA - a seductive thriller that will keep audiences guessing - from October 2024,” they wrote, sharing a poster of the play.
Directed by Lynette Linton, Barcelona will follow Collin’s character, an American tourist who goes home with a handsome Spaniard, played by Morte, for a one-night stand, which turns out to be an invitation to danger.
“By turns funny, sexy and surprising, BARCELONA explores the fantasy of who we pretend to be, versus the truth of who we are. Lynette Linton (lynettelinton1) directs the West End premiere of Bess Wohl’s explosive play – arriving at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre for 12 weeks only,” the post further reads.
Produced by ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live and Gavin Kalin Productions, the play will run at Duke of York’s Theatre for 12 weeks from October 21 to January 11, 2025.
Collins is currently awaiting the release of the fourth instalment of her hit Netflix show Emily in Paris. The first part of Emily in Paris Season 4 is scheduled to drop on Netflix on August 15, followed by the second part on September 12.
