Veteran actors Anjan Dutt and Aparna Sen will be seen together once again in Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s film Ei Raat Tomar Amaar, slated to release on August 30, after Srijit Mukherji’s Ek Je Chhilo Raja.

On Tuesday, Hoichoi Studios dropped a poster revealing the first look of the actor duo from the film. The poster shows both Dutt and Sen as an aged couple and hints at the deep emotional layers the film will explore.

Ei Raat Tomar Amaar is Hoichoi Studios’ second major cinematic release, following the success of Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole. The film takes its name from Hemanta Mukhopadhyay’s timeless classic from the 1959 movie Deep Jwele Jai.

Dutt and Sen played two lawyers in Srijit’s Ek Je Chilo Raja (2018) based on the famous Bhawal Sanyasi case. The actors played opposing lawyers who faced each other in court. While Dutt’s character defended Raja Mahendra Kumar (Jisshu Sengupta), Sen’s character was the prosecutor.

Parambrata’s previous directorial venture Abhijaan (2022) was a biographical film on late actor Soumitra Chattopadhyay.

On the work front, Dutt headlined his latest directorial Chaalchitra Ekhon, released in May, while Sen’s latest film The Rapist is doing the rounds at various film festivals across the world.
