Dwayne Johnson-led holiday movie Red One is now available to stream on Prime Video, the 52-year-old actor-wrestler announced on Friday, sharing a teaser on Instagram.
“Our little Christmas movie, RED ONE has finally come home to you and your fams around the world. On @primevideo. Thanks for making us #1 at the box office last month and now we’re primed and set for a nice long Amazon run in your cribs. Enjoy the movie and HAPPY HOLIDAYS, my friends. And kindly leave cookies and tequila out for your boy on Christmas Eve. Dwanta Claus,” reads the caption to Johnson’s post.
The video shows how viewers from across the world have responded to the Christmas fantasy film.
Directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris Morgan, Red One also stars Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, J. K. Simmons, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju and Wesley Kimmel in key roles. The film follows Callum Drift (Johnson), the head of North Pole security, who teams up with the hacker Jack O'Malley (Evans) on an action-packed mission to locate a kidnapped Santa Clause (Simmons) on Christmas Eve.
Red One was released theatrically by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on November 6.
On the work front, Johnson recently reprised his voice role of Maui from Moana (2016) in its sequel Moana 2. He is expected to star in Benny Safdie’s The Smashing Machine, slated to release next year.
