Shah Rukh Khan’s Hardy and his friends turn serious obstacles into hilarious hurdles as they continue to pursue their dream of going to London in the teaser of Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama Dunki, dropped by Red Chillies Entertainment on the occasion of the Bollywood star’s birthday on November 2.

With a song by Sonu Nigam playing in the background, Shah Rukh and his friends try to cross a desert together in the one-minute-47-second-long video. The scene then cuts to Vikram Kochhar’s Buggu, who swears on his grandmother’s life that he will never think of going to London. We also see Shah Rukh dancing his heart out to a punjabi track with people on the street as well as with participants at a wrestling match.

The teaser also refers to Shah Rukh’s role from his 2013 movie Chennai Express as he is seen in a backpack and a pair of sunglasses.

Shah Rukh also shared the teaser on Instagram. “A story of simple and real people trying to fulfil their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home!” he wrote in the caption.

Referring to Hirani as a “heartwarming storyteller”, Shah Rukh went on to write, “It’s an honour to be a part of this journey and I hope you all come along with us.”

Marking the first collaboration between Hirani and Shah Rukh, Dunki also stars Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. It is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani and Kanika Dhillon.

Dunki is slated to arrive in the cinemas this December.
