San Diego Comic-Con, which went virtual during the pandemic, has returned to San Diego after a gap of two years. And much to the excitement of comic book fans, this year’s Comic-Con is a star-studded one.

The four-day event kicked off on July 21 with several interesting announcements. Here are the highlights of the events from Day 1

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Paramount Pictures shared the first official look of its upcoming fantasy action-adventure comedy, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, on the first day of San Diego Comic-Con.

Co-writers and directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley along with stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Rege-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis and Hugh Grant took the stage to share the first trailer of the film. The star-studded panel also discussed the film with fans.

The official Twitter handle of San Diego Comic-Con shared an image of Chris Pine after the unveiling of the trailer.

Based on the fantasy role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves arrives in theatres on March 3, 2023.

Severance

Patton Oswalt moderated a discussion with the creators, producers and actors of Apple TV+ smash hit sci-fi psychological thriller Severance.

The panel comprised creator Dan Erickson, director Ben Stiller and stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman and Jen Tullock. Ahead of the panel discussion, Stiller shared insights into the project and discussed Season 1 of the show with fans.

The series received 14 nominations at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nods for Scott, Turturro, Walken, and Arquette.

Ghosts

Cast members of the American television sitcom, Ghosts, treated fans with a blooper reel of Season 1 at the event. Actors Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Roman Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky and Devan Chandler Long were present at the event.

National Treasure: Edge of History

The first look of the new Disney+ series, National Treasure: Edge of History, was unveiled at Comic-Con on Thursday.

The 15-second teaser offers the first glimpse at star Lisette Olivera, who plays Jess Morales, a 20-year-old Dreamer who sets off on an adventure to recover the lost American treasure.
