The release of Dune: Part Two, Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to 2021’s epic sci-fi film Dune, has been pushed to next year’s March due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood.
Initially slated to release on November 3, the Dune sequel will now debut on March 15, 2024. Headlined by Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, the movie’s cast also features Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux.
The first instalment of the Dune film series, released in 2021, generated USD 402 million at the global box office.
Dune: Part Two’s delayed release is causing a domino effect for all Legendary and Warners releases, resulting in pushing back Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’s release to April 12, 2024, and the Lord of the Rings animated film to December.
