Actor Dulquer Salmaan is teaming up with Vaathi/Sir director Venky Atluri for the latter’s next directorial Lucky Baskhar.
The Sita Ramam actor announced the news on his 37th birthday yesterday, sharing the new film’s poster on Twitter. The poster shows a grinning Salmaan obscured by a flag-like Rs 100 currency note. “Presenting to you #LuckyBaskhar - Embark on a Captivating Journey, The Unraveling Triumphs of an Ordinary Man!,” he wrote in the caption.
Written and directed by Atluri, Lucky Baskhar is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. G. V. Prakash Kumar will score music for the film.
Sithara Entertainments also shared the poster on the same day and wished Salmaan on his birthday on Instagram. “Wishing the man of elegance and charm, @dqsalmaan, a very Happy Birthday! 🎉🎂 #HBDDulquerSalmaan,” reads the caption.
Apart from Lucky Baskhar, Salmaan will next be seen in the Malayalam-language gangster film King Of Kotha, helmed by debutant director Abhilash Joshiy.
The Karwaan actor will also make his OTT debut in The Family Man and Farzi creator duo of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s upcoming period comedy crime thriller series Guns & Gulaabs, which will be streaming on Netflix from August 18. Salmaan will share screen space with Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav and Gulshan Devaiah in the show.
