Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan has shared his thoughts on the phenomenal success of the chart-topping music video Heeriye for which he collaborated with singer-songwriters Jasleen Royal and Arijit Singh.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Dulquer expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to Heeriye. He described the song as a “memorable journey” that blends Jasleen’s composition and unique voice with the soulful crooning of Arijit. The actor also shared his fond memories of shooting the music video with a talented crew.

“Heeriye has been such a memorable journey, it’s difficult to put it into words. A song that I instantly fell in love with when Jasleen shared it with me. A song that I had a blast shooting with the most wonderful crew especially Taani and Kaushal. A song that I couldn’t stop humming since the first time I heard it. Jasleen’s composition and her unique voice coupled with my fav Arijit Singh and it just could not get any better,” the Sita Ramam actor wrote.

“I feel like songs and movies have their destiny, and I guess I was meant to be a small part of ‘Heeriye’. Today, as ‘Heeriye’ continues to top multiple charts and break records, it fills my heart with joy. I can't thank the audience enough for appreciating everything about ‘Heeriye’; it’s been such a joy to bring you all a song that's so special to me,” he concluded the note.

Heeriye has garnered a staggering 100 million streams on Spotify, making it a favourite among music enthusiasts. On YouTube, the song has claimed the title of the No.1 streaming video worldwide with an astonishing 135 million views.

Moreover, the song has become a sensation on Instagram, with over 2.5 million reels featuring it and more than 1.3 million YouTube shorts dedicated to the soulful melody.
