Singer-songwriter Dua Lipa penned a heartfelt note on Sunday, expressing how she feels “beyond lucky” to end 2023 in India as part of a trip that helped her reconnect with her family.
Sharing pictures of moments from her Rajasthan stay on Instagram, the 28-year-old pop sensation wrote, “I feel so beyond lucky to end my year here in India. Thank you to all the wonderful people here who have shown us so much love, kindness, hospitality and generosity. This experience has been deeply meaningful.”
Dua explored Rajasthan’s majestic forts and palaces as part of her holiday celebrations. This was her third visit to India after her trip to the country with then boyfriend Isaac Crew in 2018 and for Mumbai’s OnePlus Music Festival in November 2019.
In her post, Dua wrote that visiting India has helped her rediscover her love for her family and “explore, regroup, recharge and restart”. “I feel lucky to be in and within the magic with my family where we have had the time to explore, regroup, recharge and restart. Ready for the year ahead. What a joy,” she added.
In the first picture, the Levitating singer sported a yellow Rajasthani kurta and held a tea cup in her hand.
The British-Albanian singer was all smiles as she posed with an elephant during the trip.
Dua and her family members — her father Dukagjin, mother Anesa and siblings Rina and Gjin — also took part in a prayer at a temple.
The Physical singer went for a casual look in a red-and-white striped onesie paired with a solid red shrug.
Dua enjoyed herself at a palace with her brother. The three-time Grammy winner sported a pleated tube top paired with a matching mini skirt and a cross sling.
With her red braided hair and nude makeup, Dua looked stunning in a V-neck crop top.
The singer visited New Delhi’s Humayun Tomb before travelling to Rajasthan with her family. Her brother Dukagjin shared a set of pictures on December 26. “The Indian journey starts at New Delhi,” he captioned the post.
Dua’s Barbie song Dance the Night has been nominated for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media at the upcoming 66th Annual Grammy Awards. The singer recently confirmed that she will be releasing a new album in 2024 after dropping her single, Houdini, on November 9.
