A team of paranormal experts — LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson and Danny DeVito — is hired to get rid of ghosts inhabiting an old mansion in the spooky trailer of the upcoming supernatural horror-comedy film Haunted Mansion.
Dropped by Walt Disney Studios on Tuesday evening, the two-minute-14-second-long trailer begins with a woman (Rosario Dawson) and her teenage son (Chase W. Dillon) enlisting a motley crew of so-called spiritual experts consisting of a former paranormal investigator, a priest, a psychic and a college history professor to help rid their home of supernatural squatters.
Soon, the paranormal experts find out that they’re up against some powerful forces, including the terrifying Hatbox Ghost (Jared Leto) and Madame Leota (Jamie Lee Curtis). The video ends with LaKeith Stanfield and Danny DeVito’s characters explaining the sketch of a ghost to a police sketch artist played by comedian Hasan Minhaj.
“Take the ride to the other side. Watch the brand-new trailer for @HauntedMansion , appearing only in theaters July 28,” Walt Disney Studios wrote on Twitter alongside the trailer.
