Disha Patani thanks Nag Ashwin Reddy and Prabhas for Kalki 2898 AD journey

Released theatrically on June 27, the dystopian sci-fi epic also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles

Actress Disha Patani, who plays Roxie in Nag Ashwin Reddy’s latest dystopian sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, has penned a thank-you note for the filmmaker as well as lead actor Prabhas, expressing gratitude for being part of “such a legendary cast”.

Sharing a candid shot of Prabhas and Nag Ashwin seated inside a flight, Disha heaped praise on the director-actor duo. “Thank you @nag_ashwin for creating this crazy sci-fi world in the most beautiful way, integrating Indian history and science. You're truly a creative genius. Sharing conversations with you about anime was my highlight on your set. Thank you Bhairava @actorprabhas for being the sweetest co-star ever and taking care of everyone,” she wrote on her Instagram stories on Thursday.

The Yodha actress also extended gratitude to producers Priyanka C Dutt and Swapnadutt Chalasani and cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic. “Honoured to be a part of such a legendary cast. Hats off to the whole team who worked sleepless nights to create this spectacle,” she added, thanking her own team for their dedicated efforts in bringing her character Roxie to life.

“I'm grateful to be a part of this beautiful journey... Let's go,” Disha signed off.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD has already minted Rs 392.45 crore nett at the domestic box office since its release on June 27, according to industry data-tracking site Sacnilk. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles.

Disha is set to make her Tamil cinema debut in Siva’s Kanguva alongside Suriya, Bobby Deol, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu and Yogi Babu. The movie is slated to arrive in cinemas on October 11.
